Perfection.
Perfect. In our modern-day world, the word has such a shallow meaning. If you're smart, good at sports, a good conversationalist, have a lot of friends, are generally well-liked, have a loving family, and seem generally happy, then you're classified as "perfect". Having a boyfriend raises the perfection level. When will people ever learn that having perfection has nothing to do with any of the above? A so-called "perfect life", in the way the world sees it, is meaningless. As Mark 8:36 says, "You can gain the whole world, and lose your soul." Perfection is only attained when sin has been completely eliminated. That said, Jesus was the only perfect person to walk on earth. So many people who seem to have "perfect" lives are really dying on the inside. It's so shallow it's heartbreaking.
