The Author

Born in America and raised predominantly in Scotland, my background is multi-cultural to say the least. A teenage fascination with studying Japanese instead of attending to my French classes (sorry, Madame G) resulted in living in Japan, working as an English teacher, and being married to a Japanese husband. I have learned first-hand how seemingly insignificant decisions can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

Currently making my home in Nagoya, Japan, I write about everything from the exciting to the mundane to the deep parts of life ex patria. My middle name is Grace, and this is the overarching theme of my life: grace in a foreign country, grace in a cross-cultural marriage, grace for others and for myself. I hope you can experience that grace as well!

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
