Julie & Julia
Yeah so, another few months gone by without an update...
Sorry guys. =S
But anyways, enough with the past! After the Christmas holidays, there's always that huge feeling of letdown and what my dad would call "Christmas Blues", if you get my meaning. I find a good way to battle this is try to sort out a lot of the loose ends from the previous year. Are you behind on your photos and blogging? Get up to speed! (Ha, could take some lessons from myself there.) Got a ginourmous quantity of exams to study for? Make a quick study plan and just do it! Any things you thought you'd get done the previous year, but never got around to them? Go through them and re-write what you want to have a shot at again. Not exactly like "New Year's Resolutions", because we all know those just don't work - but a few goals you'd like to accomplish, like starting a scrapbook or learning that new piece on the piano. Don't feel let down because you failed miserably at getting everything done last year that you wanted to. The best we can do is pick ourselves up and start again!
And now, after that motivational pep talk (hehe), a quick movie review.
Tonight in an effort to relax, we watched the film "Julie and Julia" that came out not too long ago. If you ignore the many intimate-verging-on- inappropriate scenes, it's a great film, especially if you're into cooking/blogging/writing/any good story that has a sweet ending. (Oops, was that a spoiler?) I recommend it especially to members of the female species from approximately age 14 up - though it's not to say you wouldn't like it if you don't fall into that category.
I might even go so far as to say it's motivated me to return to blogging... ;)
And I now have a huge craving for some boeuf bourguignon. Yummm.
